Don’t be a stranger. I am accepting submissions and suggestions from NYC writers, photographers, and others:
- Writers: Meander around the city and find a stranger to talk to, record your conversation, take some photos, and write about it. If you are interested in submitting your writing, please contact me first for details. I will accept submissions with writing and/or stories that I like . I like the casual, quirky, funny, honest, and thoughtful.
- Photographers: Take photos on the streets of New York – any of the boroughs. I’m looking for beautiful photos with a magical quality to them. I want to see different neighborhoods and the characters within them.
- Interviewers: I will accept youtube video interviews of strangers that I find interesting, beautiful, funny, illuminating, suprising, or sweet. Videos should be around 2 minutes each.
- People who know people: If you think I’ve got to meet someone you know who is fascinating and amazing, please tell me about this person. I’m always looking for a good story, and sometimes, I will actively seek an interview with a stranger rather than bumping into them on streets. The kinds of people I’m looking for have an interesting and unusual life, job, family, and/or perspective. They tell stories about their lives, relationships, art, spirituality, health, and beyond; people enjoy listening to them.
Can you tell me a story about a stranger in writing, video, or picture? Are you xenophobic?
